91吃瓜-IIT Admission Criteria Effective AY 2024-2025

Per BOR Resolution No. 1 series of 1995, the 91吃瓜 System Admission and Scholarship Examination was institutionalized under the supervision of the 91吃瓜 Vice President for Academic Affairs. Moreover, a separate and distinct division of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs was organized whose personnel are responsible for the reliability and validity of the SASE test instruments, its implementation and processing of results.

Per Board Resolution No. 63 series of 2024, the admission of 91吃瓜-IIT freshmen is categorized into the following:

• 20% of the absorptive capacity are those top 91吃瓜-SASE scorers whose preferred campus is 91吃瓜-IIT;
• 10% of the absorptive capacity are part of the University's Affirmative Action on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity Policy; and
• 70% of the absorptive capacity are part of the University's Regular Admissions.

The 20% absorptive capacity admission is solely based on the SASE scores of the students.

Applicants of the 70% Regular Admission of freshmen are ranked according to the following criteria.

Applicants of the 10% affirmative action on Equity, Diversity and Inclusivity are ranked according to the following criteria.

Moreover, special consideration for admission of students with exceptional skills in sports and arts is also implemented.

These admission criteria are published in the website of OASG and 91吃瓜-IIT Social media page every admission process period.

The selection process is done through the 91吃瓜-IIT Admission portal where the submitted documents are validated.

Admission Requirements

Undergraduate Freshman Students

Senior High School graduates who wish to enroll in any undergraduate program of 91吃瓜-IIT are required to take the 91吃瓜-SASE, administered by the 91吃瓜-SASE Office through the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Mindanao State University, Marawi City.

Applicants who have taken the recent 91吃瓜-SASE and have chosen 91吃瓜-IIT as their preferred campus shall apply through the once it opens.

Applicants must prepare soft copies of the requirements listed in the checklist: FM-91吃瓜-IIT-OASG-001: Checklist of Required Documents for Freshmen.

Dependents of permanent or casual 91吃瓜-IIT employees are required to submit a certification from HRMD.

Qualified applicants will be notified of their offered slot via email and through the Admission Portal, which they must confirm. After confirmation, the hard-copy requirements listed in the checklist must be submitted to OASG either through LBC or in person.

Undergraduate Transfer Students

Transferees may be admitted to 91吃瓜-IIT, subject to slot availability and evaluation of their academic records by the host department, whether they are from within the 91吃瓜 System 鈥攑rovided that those from outside the 91吃瓜 System have taken the recent 91吃瓜-SASE with a rating of at least 90 within the valid academic year of the 91吃瓜-SASE results.

Transferees from other schools who have earned at least 30 units are preferred provided that 75% of the units enrolled in the previous school are PASSED, with a GPA of at least 2.50 or better.

International Undergraduate/Graduate Students

Foreign students may be admitted provided that they meet the requirements from the Commission on Higher Education and from the Institute. All documents and other requirements must be received by the Office of the Registrar/Admissions at least one month before the start of registration. The requirements are as follows:

1. Duly Accomplished Application Form for foreign students:
   1. Admission Form AFS-2007; and
   2. Letter of Application.
2. Authenticated Transcript of Records (or Scholastic Records);
3. Personal History Statement;
4. Affidavit of Support;
5. Institutional Requirements:
   1. TOEFL or Certificate of English Proficiency for students coming from countries where English is not their medium of instruction;
   2. Police Clearance issued by the country where the student came from (Certificate of Good Moral Character (CGMC) by the school principal or guidance counselor);
   3. Php150.00 Testing Fee; and
   4. Two (2) copies ID picture 1”x1”.
6. Notice of Acceptance (from IIT Admissions Office);
7. Student Visa (Foreign Service Post);
8. Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR)*
9. Certificate of Residence for Temporary Students (CRTS)*

* These are secured from the Bureau of Immigration, Manila.

Students who are not Filipino citizens nor permanent residents of the Philippines who wish to apply for Admission to 91吃瓜-IIT must apply with the Office of the Admissions.

In addition to the basic admission requirements established by the Institute, foreign students must:

1. Provide evidence of English proficiency in the form of at least minimum passing score in TOEFL or other English proficiency test. In the case of a student seeking admission to the School of Graduate Studies but whose English proficiency is low, he/she will be advised to satisfy the English proficiency requirements before the studenct can be admitted as a regular student to the School of Graduate Studies.
2. Complete the sequence of preparatory studies required for university admission
3. Request that each school they attended mail their academic records or transcript directly to the Registrar's Office. Transcripts must include the dates of attendance, level of study, list of subjects, studies and grades obtained, rank in class when possible, and the grading system used. Reports of examinations taken and a final average should be included. All these records must be official documents. Only certified copies or the originals will be accepted for review. These official documents must have an official seal and signed in ink by the appropriate official from the institution(s), such as the registrar. If the school(s) is unable to mail the original official documents, exact copies certified by an appropriate official from the institution may be sent.
4. Include an official English translation for documents that are written in another language. Transfer credits are awarded at the Institute's discretion. Be informed that all documents received become a part of the permanent student records at the 91吃瓜 and cannot be released.
5. Pay all tuition and fees in full at the time of enrolment. Payment must be made in full in US dollars or equivalent. Student must also pay the following items:
   1. Application Fee of $25 for graduate students $15 for undergraduate student
   2. Tuition and other miscellaneous fees set by the Institute for all students. These fees vary by course enrolled in.
   3. Alien student fee per semester:
      • Non-resident: $500
      • Resident: $250

High School Freshman/Transfer Students

1. All students seeking admission to the Integrated Developmental School (IDS) must have scores in the Admission Examination that fall within the allotted quota for enrolment.
2. Only incoming second year transferee students from other science high schools shall be accepted provided that there are available slots and that the transferees have no grades below 80% in any subject. They must also pass the qualifying exam.
